An eclectic mix of baseball, music, and booze presented to you by a 20 something Social Policy Student. Expect uninformed opinions, reggae, and - if you're lucky - a hint of wit.

What's it all about?

Well, what you're witnessing here, is the result of a love affair with Tumblr that started at the back end of 2007. Originally, my Tumblr was a way to aggregate the things I liked, then it evolved into a way to share the things I really liked with a select group of people.

At the beginning of 2010 I decided to develop a more formalised structure, aiming to make one substantial post a week, the remit I set myself was as follows...

“This new reboot (as of 05.03.10) has a number of aims: to instill some regularity upon my posting, I’m aiming for at least one substantial post a week; to move away from the re-blogging culture and to introduce some original content; and to allow my eccentric habits to flourish, rather than focusing on the sterotypical techie hobbies.”

… a year on, however, I felt that something wasn't right. My tastes had changed and my post count had fallen.

As such, I've decided to start completely afresh. Whilst I aim to carry on producing original content I've decided to widen my remit, to post about the things that interest me, as and when they do, and – perhaps – to introduce some academia into the proceedings.

And who am I?

I’m Sam Walton, an undergraduate who’s reading Social Policy. There's not much more to say, the rest will be revealed in due course, through the posts I make on this website.
